Mark Wilkes, a local sydney guitarist (as well as owner and founder of Village Guitar) has decided that it's time to celebrate the acoustic guitar. With that decision made he has formed a show called ‘Acoustic Masters' where he performs, on his acoustic guitar, songs that sound great on an acoustic guitar. There's not much more to it. Just good, clean, acoustic guitar fun.
The Acoustic Masters logo had to embody the heritage and purity of the acoustic guitar while also giving it a contemporary edge. The logo is being used for advertising, a website and posters that are plastered around Sydney.
Fantine is one amazing talented and creative individual. Apart from her breathtaking voice, Fantine's style and flare for the theatric catapult her songs from mere music to art. With so much great material and inspiration to work with, designing Fantine's site was a lot of fun.
To coincide with the release of her first single 'Rubberoom' we put together a site that covers all of the bases: news feed, upcoming shows list, twitter feed, videos & mp3's page, photo gallery and newsletter system. Fantine's site is in her control, all powered and editable through myCMS.

Sick of computers mucking up on you? Sick of trying to navigate your way through useless online trouble shooting? Buy a mac! (I joke - but seriously ...)
If that's not an option, then there is a good chance that you will need 'the IT guy' to sort out all your cyber-puter-thingy problems. The I.T. guy (otherwise known as Pete Wright) needed a personal logo to convey his personal service. Mission accomplished.
In actual fact, the IT guy specializes in not only Windows but Mac OS platforms as well. For more information, check out the IT guy on facebook.
'OT Draw' is a computer application that helps Occupational Therapists easily create or adjust building plans to help suit the needs of their clients.
A complete 'OT Draw' icon set for application and document icon was needed. Set for release on Windows OS the 'OT Draw' icons had to be clean and sharp from 32BIT 128px all the way down to 8BIT 16px icon. (misleading screenshot sorry - things just look better on a mac)
The branded 'OT' type is perfect for the application icons. For marketing where the title will be used, a variation was needed. Step in the OT Draw icon v2.0 featuring house blue print.
I decided to get personal with my stationery, especially my business cards. After toying with the idea of letterpress printing, uv spot and even metallic foils, I settled on the old fashioned hand stamp.
It was trial and error with stock, but with some guidance, advice and patience from Rod at Lionheart Offset Printing I was able to find the right card. The rounded edges were just the icing on the proverbial cake.
A personal and handmade card for a personal and handmade service.

Making a juice bar stand out in Cronulla is like trying to eat your own elbow - nearly impossible. A complete make over was in order.
Starting with a new logo and completely colour scheme the small store has blossomed capturing the attention of passers by. With a new vibrant colour palette the So Fresh Cronulla Beach juice bar now easily stands out amongst all of the bustling stores in the boulevard.
If you are down at Cronulla, I won't need to point out which one it is. As you walk past though, just remember that I designed it. I always do.
Adsum had been redesigning their logo for 4 years. Turns out all it needed was a bit of Paul Hanna magic! I joke ... but seriously, that's what happened.
Rebecca Hemperger, owner and proprietor, wanted an identity that would convey not only the exceptional level of professionalism and skill at Adsum, but the warm, friendly and honest dealings that make Adsum so unique.
Along with logo design came letterheads, with compliments slips and business cards for 'Adsum Accounting' and 'Adsum Wealth'.
'ham' is the place to be in Cronulla, especially if amazing coffee and spectacular food is your thing. Owned and run by brothers Harry and Mario, Ham is a place that prides itself in every aspect of its service, product and setting - it was only fitting that their business identity carried the same excitement for design and quality.
Set in the cosmopolitan block 17 Gerralle Street, the Ham logo was applied to everything from window signs to work shirts, each utilising the individually designed 'ham' typeface. Complimented by a one-page infofmation website displaying beautiful photos of the store by Matt Johnson.

Sydney band FisherKing were embarking on their first Australian tour. To promote the entire tour and key individual shows, gig posters were called for! Not just any gig posters, posters that would stand out on a wall of 34 other band posters.
Designed as a set, each poster carries the FisherKing identity and draws strong influence from the main Tour Poster design. Hundreds of the posters were plastered all over pubs, music venues and streets all across Australia.

I have been lucky enough to work with Village Guitar from the get-go. Working with owner Mark Wilkes, the Village Guitar logo was developed in conjunction with their website and from here many projects have been undertaken: the design of storefronts, work books, price tags, flyers and brochures. Each design incorporates the fun, excitement and dirt of rock'n'roll.
Featured to the left is the 'School of Rock' holiday program flyer as well as the Village Guitar logo and Village Guitar business cards. Just a few of my favourite projects.
